Paul Asbury Seaman With Therondia, Mayr is once again in a reflective mood and the result is a chill-out classic. Sustained sequencer lines come and go, but always at a restrained tempo and melodic simplicity. From the low, flute-like chords that set a softly brooding tone to the trance-inducing beats, this is one of Mayr’s most Schulzean albums. And I am amazed again that an artist so prolific (producing new, full-length albums month after month) can maintain such high standards of originality and musicianship. Favorite track: Halls of Atonement.
