Paul Asbury Seaman This is a delight! A nice change of pace from the Berlin School, ambient, space music Mayr is well-known for. This album demonstrates what a talented and versatile artist he is. Some great downtempo & chillout/danceable tracks here, just for the joy of life--at a time when we really need it. (Mayr plays all instruments himself, including--thanks to modern technology--female vocals and what sounds like a black American bluesman.) Love the sax on the stand-out "In the South" and some other tracks. Favorite track: Huangshan.
