Paul Asbury Seaman It’s hard to keep up with this prolific artist, but well-worth the effort. Mayr continues to be one of the most consistently interesting, and satisfying, artists working in the Berlin School EM. His music balances (and contrasts) acoustic-sounding instruments with synthesizers, most strikingly the piano notes that precede the sequencers in the opening track and elsewhere. This album (appropriately, given the title) has a lighter tone not often found in ambient music—without sounding like Muzak. Favorite track: Dreamlike Travel.
